earth quake!

We had an earthquake! I was watching a movie and about 11:45 the whole house shook. I, at first, could not figure it out! It only lasted about 10-15 seconds but was I weirded out! At first I was thinking what would do that? And then duh!A little voice told me it had to be an earthquake. Who do you call at that time of night. I woke Larry up but it was like talking to someone that was asleep.Imagine that. The next morning he didn't remember why I woke him up! Who ya gonna call? So I emailed my Mother. Then the next day I heard there were a few after shocks but I didn't know anything about them. And my brother in Eads that is about 100 miles away felt it! He said it felt like someone was puching his chair and then he noticed the chandalier moving. He sounds like he was as smart as me! Guess that's what happens when you've never had one before.
I talked with my neighbor and she had talked to someone that lives by Trinidad, and they said it happens all the time! I did not know that. Learn something new everyday.hmmm...
I heard that they felt it as far away as Nebraska

Had a little tiny visitor tonight! Wonder where his MOM was! I think he was wondering too! He looked like a little kitten so the dogs were kind of picking on him. After I told them no they left him alone. It was kind of weird that they minded!(No, I didn't try to pick him up!)

Flowers from Travis for Mothers' Day! I finally got one of them trained not to give me cut flowers! Yea! Don't give me flowers that are already dead...when I can kill them myself it is so much more satisfying! LOL!

Tidbits of May 2011

This blog is hard for me cos it seems the story is backwards. Oh well, Good Luck and figure it out? Read from the bottom up and it makes more sense.

It Happened to Aiden last year. When I turned the little bird he found loose...he was a little miffed when it flew away. He really wanted to keep it!I will post the photo if I ever find it!

The very next day Hunter came and got me cos he found a bird. It evidently flew into the tree(literally)and knocked itself silly. It couldn't fly and kind of had a far away look in its itty bitty eyes! So, we took a picture of course! After awhile he remembered who he was and flew away.

I do not have exact dates. Just that these photos were taken in May.Rachel was here and I saw a little bird pass the window and I said not here you don't! She looked at me kind of strange and I told her it was a barn swallow. The little birds that make their nests in the most annoying places. Like above your door.Anyway...a little while later I walked onto the porch and could hear little wings fluttering AND there was one of its little buddies got a little too curious and was in the window trying deparatly to fly away. Darn glass just was in the way...
