Not all fun and games

Today started out pretty interesting. My poor horse was bit on the nose by a snake! I am sure he don't appreciate it a lot. His mouth is swelled open so the flies are having their way with him. I put him in tall weeds so he can maybe wipe them away.(Probably good place for more snakes) There is not a whole lot I can do for him. Antibiotics and fly spray. Poor baby. He is a site for sure. Never a dull moment. If it is not a kid it is a critter.

Hot Tub Treat

Tonight my son said,"I'm going to take you somewhere." I said ok?

What a sweetie. He took me to the kids' other grandparents house and we got to get in their new hot tub! Pretty awesome. Never expected anything like that! AND we were invited back so we could have a barbeque or something. I think that is a nice invite since the price of propane is out of this world! No pictures...but it was nice!

Coyotes!

I think I may need a BIG dog that is good with kids and cats and furocious with coyotes! They were very close to my house tonight. I yelled at them and threw a fire cracker but I think all I scared is our old dog who is now on tthe porch with the cats! They give me chills when I hear them especially that close! My son came in the room and told me not to let my little dog out. I thought that was kind of nice since he doesn't like her. But for him to come and tell me they were here, it wasn't just cos they just "sounded" close, they were close!

Rachels' Birthday

My Mail Box!

Ya know how the little things can bug you? Well, in this case it was my mail box. A yellow mail box is always included in the directions to my house. So... I have to have to a yellow mail box! Mine was so faded and beat up. So, yesterday I took it down and took the layers apon layers of paint off and repainted it Floresent Yellow! Oh, my! It is so loud that you could not talk in a normal voice next to it! LOL But that is what happens when you have a few minutes of your own. Get a little creative and fix that things that bother you!

Calebs' Skate Comp

Today was my youngest sons skateboarding competition. We were there most of the day waiting for hin to take a turn. Most of the time he was a judge. Could not judge himself but did so until his turn! Anyway I doubt that I will go to many more because I can't take the falling down part...
Until then I was good. Caleb biffed it big time and landed on his cheekbone. I so wanted to go to him but I would've embarressed him. SO I turned away and when he was done he walked up where I was sitting and I tried to put a ice pack on it and he got all "macho" and went and sat elsewhere so he wouldn't have to put up with me. He is working tonight at ~Pizza Hut~ and says he is fine. So I guess he is! I have a pic of just before he went down I'm posting in retaliation!

I'm Confused

Today the forcast for weather in our area was rain. It was hazy and it sort of misted but not really a"rain". This evening it finally gave us about a 2 minute shower. Then a few minutes after that...I saw a snowplow! I had to double take on that one! A snowplow? This was about 10p.m. I don't know what to think about that. Maybe it is not me who is confused!
